I started shooting 12 years ago, and my first two mentors were a Gulf war Marine, and a Vietnam river rat, veteran. I’m very lucky to have started this sport with such amazing people to show me the correct use and responsibility of owning firearms. Needless to say, I’ve been going full steam since then! I continue with training, because I believe that the more training, the more competent a firearm owner I will become.
I work full time and divide the rest of my time, between my family, the gun club and downtime.
I am so excited about the direction that our club is moving in, and I’m motivated to make our club even better than it already is!

I started shooting at a very young age and received my first “gun of my own” as a Christmas gift when I was twelve. Armed with that .22 rifle and my Hunter Safety Certificate I was all set. Back then I could just walk out the back door of the farmhouse and find our “range.” Years later, I enlisted in the Air Force/Air National Guard, and rose to E-7 before being commissioned and eventually retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2010. I rely on RCRPC for my range time these days, and enjoy working for the club almost as much as shooting.

My first experience with the club was as a guest at the Janesville range. Once I joined, I began to take part in events and volunteer opportunities. Many relationships began to form, as I felt a comradery with the members. I felt privileged to have access to multiple ranges right here in the community.

When asked to join the leadership group, I did not hesitate to accept the challenge of preserving this privilege and the opportunity to contribute many years of financial and leadership experience to the club.

I’m a family first, freedom loving second amendment advocate that takes pride in what we do here through training, events and building relationships. I encourage the public to visit or speak with us about the emphasis we have on safety and the ability to exercise your constitutional rights.

I learned to shoot in the United States Marine Corps and joined the RCRPC to find a place to shoot that didn’t cost me a whole lot of money. I have been a member of the RCRPC for roughly 4 years and a director at large and maintenance chairperson for 3 years. I recently became the gun show chairperson and have been in that role for roughly 6 months.
